Offering therapy that provides you with a safe place to heal from your past, reconnect with your inner power, and reclaim your life.
Trauma
The understanding of trauma has evolved, allowing more people to recognize and validate how their past continues to affect their present. Trauma was once thought of only in terms of major, obvious events, but I often teach my clients that it’s anything you weren’t equipped to process or cope with at the time. It can also be seen as experiences that disrupted your healthy emotional development.

Some types of trauma are clear-cut, while others—like emotional and psychological abuse or attachment wounds—can be more subtle but just as impactful. One often-overlooked form of trauma is neglect, which isn’t about what happened, but rather what didn’t—the love, support, or guidance that should have been there but wasn’t.

These experiences shape how we see ourselves and how we connect with others. Unresolved trauma can lead to low self-esteem, difficulty forming relationships, and a deep sense of emptiness or loneliness. Recognizing these patterns is the first step toward healing and creating a life that feels more whole and fulfilling.
Trauma-focused therapy
When trauma isn’t processed and “filed away,” it gets stuck in both the mind and body, shaping how you see yourself, others, and the world. You may be responding to life today based on beliefs formed years ago—like struggling to trust your partner at 35 because of something you learned at 8. But it doesn’t have to stay that way.

My approach to trauma-focused therapy helps you identify these stuck patterns and revisit them with fresh perspective. You’ve gained wisdom and strength over the years—it’s just a matter of updating the way you see things. I’m here to guide you through that process, but ultimately, the power to heal is already within you.

We can work toward this goal using a variety of approaches, including CBT, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and EMDR. I also incorporate trauma-informed somatic practices to help you develop tools for regulating your nervous system and finding a sense of balance.
